Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving! I know I did 🙂
As you read this I may be trolling the internet for Black Friday deals. I am not brave enough to face the malls or stores! I did that ONLY ONCE. It was awful. I got up at like 4am with a friend and we went to Kohls which was having some awesome toy, clothes, etc… deals. I did get some amazing and cheap gifts, but getting up that early and braving the insanity at the store and the lines was AWFUL. People were grabbing, and knocking things over, and running around like they were rioting or robbing the place. Horrifying! I don’t do well at stores on a normal day. I can’t stand people who are rude to cashiers and cashiers who are rude to people. And I hate the busy-ness of it.
Don’t get me wrong, I love to shop! But I tend to go when no one will be there. Early in the morning if possible (not on a holiday or weekend), or in the mid-afternoon when most people are done with their lunch breaks and still working. lol
What about you? Do you shop in or out on Black Friday? Or not at all?
Leave a comment for your chance to win one of THREE grand prizes, and an ecopy of my new sexy, Highlander erotic novella, HIGHLANDER BRAWN.
The sequel to Highland Steam.
Sorcha never thought she’d be married, let alone to Reed Campbell, leader of a rival clan. But when her brother and Campbell form a truce—and she finds herself kissing Campbell in her bedchamber—her brother insists on a marriage. And Campbell insists on having Sorcha in his bed. Though she vowed never to fall in love, she can’t resist his strong arms and hot kisses—or the way he spanks her when provoked. And oh, she provokes him. As much and as often as possible.
Campbell has never cared for weak women. Is it any wonder his desire for the sword-wielding, knife-throwing Sorcha consumes him so completely? The lass may say she doesn’t like him, but the way she writhes and moans beneath him proves otherwise. He’s determined to have her in every way—and in every position—it’s possible to have a woman. But first he needs to win her fierce, feisty heart.

Never have and never will go out on Black Friday. I go to work and work my 4 hours and then go home and watch football. I deal with my shopping pretty much like you do.
edor628@verizon.net
love the cover! I am a cyber Monday gal hate going into stores Black Friday, marshteal@gmail.com
I have never gone out on Black Friday, although I have been awake to try and get some online deals!
Someday, I may brave Black Friday at a store just for the experience….but then again, staying in bed sounds much better!

I stay home on Black Friday. It seems that it brings out the crazies in some people!

If I do try Black Friday shopping it will be later in the day rather than at the crack of dark! I am also looking at online specials just in case I don’t go out.
I can’t stand people that are rude to cashiers either. I have never gone out on a black friday and never will. There’s no deal good enough for me to brave it.
Your book sounds very intriguing. A great late night read!
Almost forgot!

We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here I live, so no Black Friday for me either. But it must be fun to go shopping 🙂
verusbognar (at) gmail (dot) com
I do not like crowds so BF shopping is not for me! I will be spending my day hopping and then snuggled up reading! Well that is after I decide on what new book I have just added to my to be read list! It gets longer every hop! Thanks!
grapeapril75(at)gmail.com
I try to find great deals on the internet. That’s much more comfy. As I don’t live in the US I don’t get to visit the malls, but I like shopping online or when it’s so crowded.

I have only done the Black Friday scene once…and that was more than enough for me! I have lots of books to keep me occupied for the day.

I’m not a Black Friday shopper. I don’t believe that shopping should ever be a full contact sport. I spend the day baking cookies with my kiddos instead.

I didn’t do Black Friday but I did Thursday night this year! Had a good time, had to laugh at the people scrambling for towels. They had specials on electronics starting at 10p and you could feel the tension when the time approached. You could hear a rumble turn into a roar when they unwrapped the merchandise. Thank goodness I was on the other side of the store away from that madness.
I usually love it but I skipped Black Friday shopping this year.

A few of my friends do Black Friday, but it’s not for me.

I love Black Friday shopping, (I live in a small town and people are pretty friendly, no blood or bruising) but this year they started at 8pm on thursday so I decided to stay at home and read. I went out about 11:30, when the stores were almost empty and still got all the specials that I wanted.
proudarmymom32(at)yahoo(dot)com
I don’t shop on Black Friday.
Kit3247(at)aol(dot)com
I love the busy-ness! I agree though that sometimes Black Friday seems to bring out the worst in some people. This year I found the crowds to be generally good natured and the employees seemed to be in a good mood as well. This was definitely one of the nicer Black Friday’s I’ve gone to.
JYL22075 at gmail dot com
I no longer go Black Friday shopping. Too many crazy people out there. I don’t have the patience I had when I was younger, LOL. So today I am staying in and blog hopping, instead of shopping! angadair@nwcable.net Thanks for the hop!
I am like you, I tried Black Friday once (last year) and it will not happen again. I cannot believe how rude people can be to save a few dollars. I don’t mind shopping when there isn’t a huge crowd although if I could do it all online (including groceries) I might not ever leave the house.
Thanks so much for being a part of the hop and for the giveaway.
Happy Holidays,
Marlena
