Well, the original Six Sentence Sunday may have retired, but I wanted all my readers to still enjoy a weekly six sentence excerpt! So here it is… and its sexy, because I love sexy!

“Turn around.” His gentle command was given in a husky tone that sent shivers of delight racing along her spine.

She obeyed him. Not for fear of retribution, but because she wanted desperately to be out of her clothes. Desired at this moment more than anything, to feel his flesh on hers, his mouth on her skin.

With deft fingers he unlaced her corset and let it fall to the ground.

Sadly, this is the last sponsored Six Sentence Sunday. BUT, I will continue to post here, so if you like to read my excerpts, they will still be here on Sundays 🙂

ElizaKnight_TheHighlandersLady2500

The following six sentences are from my novel, THE HIGHLANDER’S LADY. Laird Daniel Murray is trying to convince her he’s not such a brute and that she should marry him.

“…I promise ye, I’m not a brute.”

She frowned. “Ye promised to control yourself too and yet ye’ve already kissed me.”

Daniel reached for her hands once more, stroking his thumb over her knuckles. “Aye. If ’tis your wish, I’ll not kiss ye again.” Until the bedding…

ABOUT THE BOOK…

A Highlander tamed…

Laird Daniel Murray seeks adventure, battle and freedom for his countrymen. Putting off his duties as laird—with a promise to his clan he’ll return come spring—Daniel sets off with his men to fight alongside William Wallace and the Bruce. But soon he stumbles across an enchanting lady in need. She tantalizes him with an offer he simply can’t refuse and a desire he attempts to dismiss.

A lady’s passion ignited…

Escaping near death at the treacherous hands of a nearby clan, Lady Myra must find the Bruce and relay the news of an enemy within his own camp. Alone in a world full of danger and the future of her clan at stake, she must trust the handsome, charismatic Highland laird who promises to keep her safe on her journey—and sets her heart to pounding.

Together, Daniel and Myra will risk not only their lives, but their hearts while discovering the true meaning of hope and love in a world fraught with unrest.

Hope you all have had a good weekend so far! Are you ready for a sexy Sunday six sentences???

The following six sentences are from my new release, A Knight’s Victory. Elena and Michael have been separated for six years–and she’s been married off to a tyrant. Prior to her marriage, she and Michael were in love and secretly handfasted (pledged to marry one another). They’ve finally been reunited, albeit under not so pleasant circumstances and the overwhelming urge to kiss one another is all too tempting…

ElizaKnight_AKnightsVictory2500He fought the urge to lift her up and take her to his bed. Instead he held her close, kneaded her back, stroked her arms. He would let her lead the way. She parted her lips ever so slightly. As urgently as he wanted to thrust his tongue inside and claim what she offered, he resisted. Instead he teased her with his lips, kissing her over and over, until he felt like his head was swimming.

Highland Steam, Highlander Brawn, Six Sentence Sunday

Image

Happy Sunday 🙂

It’s time for Six Sentences! This week, I’m featuring some sentences from my latest novellette release, HIGHLANDER BRAWN, a steamy, quick read! In this scene, because they were caught in a less than proper situation, Sorcha’s brother Drostan is forcing her to wed Laird Reed Campbell. This scene is from Reed’s point-of-view.

ImageHis bride stood with a dagger in each hand and a glare that nearly had him running for cover. Her auburn hair looked afire atop her head since the curls had come unbound from her ribbons.

“I suppose those daggers are meant for me, lass?” he said.

Drostan stood to the side, wearing an expression of pure amusement.

“Aye. Dinna come any closer.”

The sequel to Highland Steam.

Sorcha never thought she’d be married, let alone to Reed Campbell, leader of a rival clan. But when her brother and Campbell form a truce—and she finds herself kissing Campbell in her bedchamber—her brother insists on a marriage. And Campbell insists on having Sorcha in his bed. Though she vowed never to fall in love, she can’t resist his strong arms and hot kisses—or the way he spanks her when provoked. And oh, she provokes him. As much and as often as possible.

Campbell has never cared for weak women. Is it any wonder his desire for the sword-wielding, knife-throwing Sorcha consumes him so completely? The lass may say she doesn’t like him, but the way she writhes and moans beneath him proves otherwise. He’s determined to have her in every way—and in every position—it’s possible to have a woman. But first he needs to win her fierce, feisty heart.

Happy Sunday readers!

Can you believe that it’s fall? I am shocked that October is here…

Who’s ready for another rousing Six Sentence Sunday? I am!

I like it when a hero will torture himself to see that the heroine is comfortable. The following excerpt is from THE HIGHLANDER’S CONQUEST. Blane has agreed to switch horses with Aliah. His horse is Gunnar, a stunningly beautiful warhorse, and her mount is called Mad Maiden–completely fitting.

With that said, they returned to the horses and he introduced her to Gunnar, the latter acting like a besotted fool. Cursing his mount, Blane climbed atop Aliah’s bouncy mare, and ordered his men to depart.

Satan’s ballocks, the lass wasn’t exaggerating. The mare had the gait of… Well, he didn’t know what, but he jostled all around, and couldn’t seem to get her to move correctly. ’Twas as if she walked with four left feet.

Scottish Historical Romance, The Highlander's Conquest

Welcome back to another Six Sentence Sunday!

The Highlander’s Conquest has been out for little over a week and already seeing much success! Thank you readers, I’m so very pleased you’re enjoying it! I’ve dedicated this week’s six sentences to dogs. Yes, dogs. I have a very insane, expressive, hyper slobbery dog. He often looks at me with disgust–seriously–especially if I’m not doing what he wants. I gave his personality to Frosty, Aliah’s (heroine) dog in The Highlander’s Conquest. Here’s an excerpt from a scene that is a bit humorous… Aliah has been staring after Blane’s (hero) retreating figure–and liking what she sees.

She sighed with disappointment when he was lost from her view. Sitting directly in front of her, Frosty stared at her, snorting with what seemed to be disgust.

“Well, if you were a lady dog, you’d be looking too,” she retorted.

Frosty cocked his head to the side, staring into her eyes.

“You would,” she said, rolling her eyes.

The dog let out a long huff of breath as if annoyed with the line of conversation and instead laid down, staring out the space between the cave wall and toward the water where Blane had disappeared.

ABOUT THE BOOK:

BOOK TWO: The Stolen Bride Series

What is a Highlander to do when he falls for the daughter of his enemy?

Highland warrior, Blane Sutherland, has one mission: disguise himself as an Englishman, cross the border and retrieve Lady Aliah de Mowbray. Always up for a challenge, he agrees, pursuing his conquest with vigor—and trying to deny the powerful desire that eclipses him each time he touches his charge. A rogue of the highest order and a younger son, he has nothing to offer a lady but a broken heart.

And what is a lady to do when she cannot trust her heart?

Aliah is skeptical of the English noble who has come to take her to her father and sister in Scotland, but she pushes her doubts aside. Without word in months, she must make certain her family is safe, then she can return to England to join the convent to which she has sworn to pledge her life. But then her escort reveals his true self—he’s a Highlander and his kisses are more seductive than the sweetest of wines.

Surrender never tasted so sweet…

Eliza Knight, Stolen Bride series, The Highlander's Conquest, The Highlander's Reward

Welcome back to another Sunday snippet! Today, I’m giving you a glimpse of Aliah and Blane’s first kiss, from The Highlander’s Conquest. Sigh… I love first kisses. This scene is from Blane’s perspective.

She closed her eyes, tilted up on her tiptoes. Och, the lass would certainly be the death of him. Threading his fingers into her silken locks, he grasped her head and lowered his lips to hers. The moment their lips met, a strong jolt centered in his gut, spreading outward. ’Twas unlike anything he’d ever experienced with any other lass. And there had been many other lasses.

Welcome back to another Six Sentence Sunday! I’m sorry I missed out on last weekend… September is always a little crazy for me. And its only set to get crazier! Why? Because Book Two in The Stolen Bride Series — The Highlander’s Conquest — releases on 9/21!!! YAY!!! Today I’d like to share six sentences from this upcoming release, on first impressions. To me first impressions are very important–the heroine and hero have to feel that immediate spark, even if they reject it. In this scene, the hero, Blane, has come banging at Aliah’s door and unknowing who it is, she fears that a band of attackers has come to do her harm. *Frosty is her Irish wolfhound.*

Without further ado…

An interminable amount of time seemed to pass before the door was fully open. Aliah stepped back, speechless. Standing before her was the most staggeringly handsome man she’d ever seen—and he was quite alone. Frosty growled for only a moment, quickly silenced by a motion the stranger made with his hand. What? How had he done that?

Can you believe its September already??? I am shocked at how fast this year has gone by. In just a few months we’ll be ringing in the new year and at the end of this month, the second book in my Stolen Bride series, The Highlander’s Conquest, will be out!

Today I’m going to tempt you with yet another six sentences from The Highlander’s Reward, book one in the Stolen Bride series. In this scene the hero Magnus has taken his sister Lorna to her betrothed’s home to be married–not a marriage he approves of because Lorna and her intended sneaked around in some hay bales… She gives him a little piece of her mind and oh how I loved proving him wrong on his opinion on the matter!!!

“Dinna thank me,” he said through clenched teeth. “Ye already compromised yourself.”

Lorna was not impressed with his bluster, and only smiled, batting her lashes. “Ye will see one day, brother, that even though ye’re the Laird Sutherland, love will come up to catch ye in its grasp.”

“I dinna think so.” Love was a game for fools.
